The University has drawn ambitious plan to make KIIT campus totally vehicle free. In the first phase, use of two-wheelers, both by students and staffs, has been prohibited, after putting in place an effective alternative transport arrangement. KIIT has also implemented paperless administration. Green Audit of the campus is done annually. During the exposure trip, the students visited different facilities including Kalarabanka High School, Kalinga English Medium School, AnadiSamanta Memorial Hospital (KIMS Rural Health Centre with Tele-medicine facility), Community Hall, Canteen and temple complexes. He has converted the remote village ‘Kalarabank’, Cuttack into a Smart Village and the entire ManpurPanchayat into a model Panchayat (cluster of villages).
