  3. What is a Holy Person? • A holy person sees and responds to God in both big and small ways. • A holy person sees the possibilities for good in every situation. • When we are holy, we feel fully alive • When we are not holy, something in us is either dead or asleep

  4. Holiness is being called and calling others: • When we can make a difference in the world, and we actually do make a difference.

  5. Holiness is belonging and inviting others to belong: • When we feel that we belong, we are more likely to share our gifts & talents, reaching out to others and giving our best. • When we do this, we are working at reaching our full potential.

  6. Holiness is being nourished and nourishing others: • When we see what we can do and do it. • When we see what we cannot do, we place our trust in the Lord. • When we get the strength and support we need to live life to the fullest, we begin to live up to our potential.

  7. Holiness is being freed and freeing others: • Jesus offers people freedom and shares that freedom with others • He told those who had been forgiven to go and forgive others • He tells us that if we wish to be forgiven, we must be willing to forgive

  8. Holiness is being healed and offering healing to others: • When we accept help and healing when we need it • When we offer help and healing when we can • God heals us in the ways that we need to be healed • To be holy means knowing when we need help and asking for it

  9. Holiness is being faithful and encouraging faithfulness in others: • Jesus tells us to love, be faithful and committed to one another as he loved us and was faithful to his friends • When we try to keep our commitments and help others to do the same • When we do what it takes to become the very best people we can be.

  10. Holiness is being healed and offering healing to others: • When we accept help and healing when we need it • When we offer help and healing when we can • God heals us in the ways that we need to be healed • To be holy means knowing when we need help and asking for it

  11. Being holy means: • Making a difference in the world. • Belonging to the world and encompasses all of these ideas • Love is the soul of holiness • An ordinary person can be holy but they have to want it. • We have to base our decisions in life on God’s will

  12. Everyone is called to be holy: • It is our decision to act on it or not • When God created us, he gave us special combination of gifts & talents that make us different from everyone else.

  13. Yesterday we said: We can choose to be holy by: • Using our unique gifts & talents to do good deeds On the piece of paper, write: What talent has God given you? How can you use it to make a difference in the world (to do good deeds)
