  3. FastTrac, developed by the Ewing Kauffman Foundation FastTrac developed by the Ewing Kauffman Foundation, is a targeted slate of programs for aspiring entrepreneurs and practicing entrepreneurs who may be facing challenges in the current economy. FastTrac empowers people to create their own job and gives them the ability to decide what it is they want to do professionally and create it!

  4. Anthony Jones Beginning in the spring of 2011, entrepreneurs in St. Clair County’s Port Huron area completed an application to determine their eligibility for FastTrac by contacting the SBTDC or MSUE offices. Anthony Jones, an aspiring entrepreneur recently stated, “My expectation of the FastTrac New Venture class is to help me tighten an already existing business practice while also preparing for business growth”.

Ribbron, District Educator for Economic Development with MSUE in St. Clair County, a recent graduate of the FastTrac Certification Program through the Kauffman Foundation, stated “the desire to bring FastTrac to St Clair County was to provide support to the Economic Development Strategic Plan. Our goal is simple and straight forward, to support new business ventures, create new jobs and increase our local tax base.” The focus of the “Where Blue Meets Green” plan is on jobs and on the region’s economy. The strategic plan is built on three interlocking core values: People - Place - Prosperity
