  4. Code of Conduct • CMC badge, school tie with tie pin should be worn at ALL times as long as you are in school • As leaders, we should be a role model to the student population. Hair must be acceptable, i.e pass hair check, and socks must be seen. • If anyone is caught by the discipline teachers, demerit points will be given accordingly (to be further explained later on)

  6. New CMC Structure • President: Heads the EXCO and is involved in all facets • Training and development: Handles camps, recruitment, training, etc. Headed by 1 V. President • School Service: Handles school wide initiatives like lockers, PTM, etc. Headed by 1 V. President • Interclass projects: Handles inter-class matters including CTDC, MCA and inter class competitions. Headed by 1 V. President • Secretariat: Headed by General Secretary

  7. New CMC Structure • All CMC members will be sorted into different committees • NOTE: No committee is better than the other. If you’re in inter-class projects, it doesn’t mean you are better than those in school services, and vice versa. • All of the committees are equally important for CMC to function well. At the end of the day, we represent the same crest

  8. Basic Duties • Assist your form teachers in taking of attendance during morning assembly • If a classmate is feeling unwell, bring him to the sick bay. Inform your form teacher as well as the subject teacher. Should he need to leave school early, take the form to leave school early from the General Office. • In case of fire/fire drill, one chairman is to bring the placard to the field while the other lead the class down

  11. Protocols • Monday meetings: 7.15a.m sharp at special room 3b every Monday. Attendance is compulsory for all chairmen. Those absent without valid reasons will be issued warning letters. Demerit points will be given • Inform your respective EXCOs if you are unable to turn up for the meetings, stating your reason.

  12. Demerit system • One demerit point is given when any one of the following is not abided by* :1) Late coming2) Attire (Tie, Tie pin, Badge)3) Door not locked. (Back and Front)4) Incomplete Class Diary5) Absent or late for meeting6) Hair checkIf one accumulates 3 demerit points, he would have to serve duty. After duty, one would have 0 demerit points.At the start of every term, the number of demerit points would start from 0.

  13. Class Diary • Purpose of class diary: to protect yourselves • Cover page and timetable are to be filled • Date, Day, No. on namelist, No. present and No. absent are to be filled in. The word ‘RECESS’ is to be written vertically from top to bottom for the period in which is your recess. • Remarks (Reasons for absent in class) • Meet teacher. E.g. Meet Mr Paul Lee • External Music Examination • CCA training/competition E.g. Softball training. Basketball competition. • MC(Medical Certificate) • Prefect Duty • SC Meeting

  14. Class Diary • You are to inform your subject teachers about the attendance at the beginning of every period and get them to sign at the boxes at the extreme bottom of their period @Subject Teacher’s Initials. (For double periods with the same subject teacher, there is no need for doing it twice.) During P.E. , you are to bring the class diary down for the teacher to sign. For Home Economics and Design & Technology OR Music and Art & Craft, you are to get either signature of the teachers. However, you still need to inform the teacher even if you are NOT getting their signatures. If both chairmen are in either half of the class, get the subject Rep for that lesson to check and report attendance to the subject teacher.

  15. Class Diary • At the end of the week (on Friday), you are to get your form teacher to check to the class diary for the whole week and sign on Friday at the box at the bottom right of the page. • After which, you are to hand up your class diaries to your level reps which will then leave them at the general office for checking. If you did not manage to pass it to him, leave it at the General Office yourself.
