  8. Scenarios/Case Studies In the Emergency Response application domain catalogue search is a critical step. The use of this tool would be the search for archive satellite data. The multimission approach is essential in order to choose the most suitable coverage. The comparison functionality would be of great help in order to choose the coverage that offers better conditions over the AOI. The import functionality will be used for example to load the DEM and verify its extent.

  9. Questions Is it possible to submit scene based order (not full strip)? Which datasets will be made available through this tool? Will this tool have access to third parties GMES Contributing Missions catalogues? Will all the processing levels of a single scene be made available for download (e.g. will all the processing level of an ENVISAT ASAR scene be available on the FTP for direct download)? Will the order trigger an automated generation of the requested product at the desired processing level? Will this tool be made available to GMES Projects (SAFER, G-MOSAIC, GEOLAND2, etc) to direct order and download archive products? Will new acquisitions be delivered through this catalogue? Even in emergency situations?

  10. Main testing results Testing results will be presented according to the following macro categories: Product search; Ordering and delivery; Additional functions; General comments.

  11. Product search Standard mode: general evaluation –  No cloud coverage parameter Facet mode: general evaluation –  Difficulties in facets handling (select/deselect all, refine, …) Interactive search: general evaluation –  No cloud coverage parameter; Sometimes no automatic refresh when changing BBox Interferometric search: general evaluation –  No look side parameter; Unuseful products displayed in the results panel (different portions of the very same orbit, level 1 products, same product as master and slave); Focus should be on acquisition rather than on product at specified level (e.g. level 0 or level 1 is not relevant); Only products with matching pairs should be displayed.

  12. Ordering&Delivery As general comment the ordering and delivery system works well; Some difficulties were found when ordering MERIS Value Added Products: NONE is the only processing option available; The display of the MERIS data properties in the Basket tab cause system crash.

  13. Additional functions Additional functions such as: Image import: no full resolution import; 3D view: need to refine brightness when tilting; Time slider: ok, but ‘Show Dates Overlay’ function does not work; Band mapping: ok, more combinations are welcome; Link&compare: ok, very useful to choose the right data.

  14. General comments Insert navigation/compass tool in the viewer; Insert label (e.g. orbit number for ENVISAT and path/row for Landsat); Path and row details should be inserted in the metadata info panel; Footprint of Landsat scene should match the real extent of the image; City name option does not work properly, sometime the system crashes.
