  1. Is there a role of EBUS-TBNA in ILD? • To confirm the diagnosis of Sarcoid • Exclude TB & Malignancy

  2. Role of Trans-bronchial lung biopsy (TBLB) in diagnosis of ILD • Conventional transbronchial lung biopsy (TBLB) is not recommended in the diagnosis of IPF and other fibrosing lung diseases • TBLB may be considered in ILD with bronchocentric involvement such as sarcoidosis, HP and COP

  3. 70 year old male with cough and shortness of breath since 2 months. 1 episode of hemoptysis • TBLB suggestive of bronchoalveolar carcinoma

  4. CRYO LUNG BIOPSY

  5. Multi centre prospective study conducted at 9 centres in Australia • 65 patients recruited • High level of agreement in diagnosis between cryo and SLB for pathological interpretation and multi-disciplinary discussion
