Gynecomastia is enlargement of the glandular tissue of the male breast. It results from an imbalance within the bodyu2019s hormonal system, with a relative more estrogen which is a female hormone in comparison to androgen a male hormone. Other factors which might be risk factors for gynecomastia include obesity, use of anabolic steroids to boost athletic performance, consumption of excessive junk food, thyroid disease. The condition may occur during infancy and puberty in normally developing boys.
