Self-Directed Services Resource Room Activities • Job Boards • Internet access • CalJOBS • Daily classified section from the Fresno Bee • Phones to call employers • Fax to send out resumes and cover letters • Copy Machine • Labor Market Information • Access to community resources • Resource Library • Prepare a resume • Staff Assistance available upon request Navigate The World Wide Web Read The Classifieds Job Listings Rev. 5/08

Resource Room Activity Guidelines Resource Room Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Wednesdays: 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. • Passport card is required for Resource Room usage • No food or drinks allowed • You will be asked to leave for inappropriate use of equipment or inappropriate attire • If the resource room is busy a two-hour limit will be imposed on the use of equipment • Each location has specific guidelines regarding the availability • of childcare at the Resource Room. Job Search Assistance • You may be eligible for additional services if you: • Have served in the military • Veteran Services • Are a Native American such as American Indian, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian • American Indian Manpower Consortium • Have a disability • Department of Rehabilitation • Have a degree, management experience or a business • Central Valley Professionals • Small Business Development Corporation Rev. 5/08

Job Search Assistance(Continued) • Are a migrant or seasonal farm worker • EDD Migrant Seasonal Farm workers program • Proteus Farm workers Program • Are 55 years or older • Fresno Madera Area Agency on Aging • A.A.R.P. • Are receiving TANF or Cal Works • Welfare to Work • Success Center and Jobs 2000 • Are a dislocated worker or having difficulty finding employment • Services under the WIA Program Rev. 5/08

  15. Temporary Assistance • The following services are provided by the Fresno County Human Services System - Department of Employment & Temporary Assistance: • Cash Assistance TANF/CalWORKs General Relief • Medi-Cal/MSP • Food Stamps Rev. 5/08

  16. How Do I Access These Services? • Each program has their own eligibility criteria. • A referral may be provided to the appropriate agency. • Make a selection on your Interest Worksheet and give it to the orientation facilitator. Rev. 5/08
