  2. ABOUT - Dr. KhushDhaliwal Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Dr. Dhaliwal first completed her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Calgary. While volunteering at a local hospital and a women's health clinic, Dr. Dhaliwal gained an interest in medicine. As she became exposed to chronic health concerns in her own family and familiarized herself with the healthcare system, Dr. Dhaliwal noticed that root causes of diseases were rarely treated. Lifestyle changes and long term prevention goals were also not emphasized, which resulted in the relapse of symptoms. At Nexus Naturopathic Medical Clinic, Dr. Dhaliwal is committed to ensuring you are heard and empowered to lead a healthy lifestyle. She believes in the importance of patient education and different health professionals working collaboratively in the best interest of their patients. She is passionate about digestive concerns, skin conditions, energy optimization, women’s health and hormonal health. Dr. Dhaliwal is grateful to communicate with her patients in both English and Punjabi. Outside of her clinic, Dr. Dhaliwal enjoys spending time with family and cooking new recipes!

  4. YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT What can I expect during my naturopathic visit? During your initial visit, Dr. Dhaliwal will review your intake form and gather a detailed health history, including information about current concerns, past medical history, family history (conditions in the family), social history (lifestyle), and general markers of health. She will also review any recent bloodwork, as well as any current medications and supplements. Following the intake, Dr. Dhaliwal will perform a focused physical exam to further assess your health. Depending on the severity of the complaint, Dr. Dhaliwal may recommend additional lab testing or formulate a treatment plan during the first visit. During your follow up visits, Dr. Dhaliwal may review any additional lab testing, review changes to your health history, assess the state of the illness, address any obstacles to cure, evaluate the effectiveness of treatments that were provided or consider changes to your treatment plan. If a treatment was not provided during your initial visit, the follow up visit will include the implementation of a treatment protocol.
