  3. WHAT IS UVUKILE GOSPEL FESTIVAL ? SOLLY MAHLANGU IN UVUKILE GOSPEL FESTIVAL 2013 20 APRIL 2014 • UVUKILE GOSPEL FESTIVAL is an annual Gospel event that takes place on Easter Sunday . • Live performances at UGU sports and leisure centre. • This gospel event is aimed at celebrating life changing moments and contribute in the fight against social ills that affect our community. • The audience of about 7000 people that attends UVUKILE GOSPEL FESTIVAL is a diverse group of KZN people and visitors from other provinces who enjoy diverse selection of musicians, speakers, and other entertainment offered. • UVUKILE GOSPEL FESTIVAL 2014 will celebrate South Africa’s 20 years in Democracy under the motto USIGCINE KWAZE KWABA LA • UVUKILE GOSPEL FESTIVAL 2014 will be an event of choice and a platform for the upcoming Gospel artists sharing the stage with established musicians

UVUKILE GOSPEL FESTIVAL OBJECTIVES • To be the prime gospel event in South Africa during Easter holidays • To unearth the Gospel Music Talent • Use gospel music to communicate messages of wellbeing in community and fight against drug and alcohol abuse, promote road safety, encourage youth to write more Gospel songs. • To contribute positively to Music Artists by supporting their work • Be a platform that can be used by upcoming artist to share a stage with their idols.

COMMUNITY BENEFITST AND OPPORTUNITIES CREATED BY UVUKILE GOSPEL FESTIVAL SMALL BUSINESSES ESTABLISHED BUSINESSES • Most of things that are required for the event are hired from the local small businesses. • The event employs more than 100 security guards • About 30 youths from South coast to work on various projects for the events • Marget hotel becomes an official hosts hotel for Uvukile Gospel Festival • Hotels and Bed and Breakfast have indicated that they get a lot of Uvukile Gospel festival visitors during the Easter weekend and thay stay for the whole weekend. • Local in Ugu have made the event one of the events they promote to their visitors. • A key component of the festival, a stage, sound and lights were sourced from a local business

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL • The festival is the collective vision of UKHOZI FM’s radio presenter Irvin Sihlophe (aka DJ AMEN) and comedian Mr. Joshua Mbele (aka Pastor Mjosty) who are passionate about South African citizen's safety. They saw a need to bring people from different congregations to come and pray together on Easter Sunday. DJ AMEN and Pastor Mjosty are from UGU district born in Harding and St Faiths, respectively. • Drug abuse, road accidents, and natural disasters are robbing South Africa talented brothers and sisters. Whiles there are many ways of addressing these problems, the founders of UVUKILE GOSPEL FESTIVAL believe that prayer is one of the methods that can produce fruits. • UVUKILE GOSPEL FESTIVAL draw a diverse group of locals and visitors that will enjoy the diverse line up of musical acts, speakers, and other entertainment offered. This 3rd Annual, UVUKILE NOKHOZI FM GOSPEL FESTIVAL will be a great opportunity for families and friends; locals and visitors to pray together, enjoying music that speak to their souls listening to motivational speakers and community leaders. • There will be an opportunity for local musicians to showcase their talent while sharing a stage with their role models. The intention is that prayer becomes a big annual prayer that is hosted in South Coast.

EVENT FACTS DATE : 20 April 2o13 18h00 – 06h00 • Festival location– UGu Sports and Leisure centre will be hosting the event for the third time • Ticket Prices – General tickets will cost R130 per person and VIP will cost R400 per person excluding parking, 1 meal and 2 beverages and snack inclusive • Parking is R30 per car • GATES OPEN : 14 H00 • 16H00 - performance by local upcoming artists • 18h00 – event starts with prayer • 06h00 event closes with prayer • OUTDOOR EVENT

THE EVENT MARKETING PROGRAM • Some of our planned marketing efforts: • Posters throughout key markets at key locations throughout, Gamalakhe, Margate, Port Shepstone, Port Edward, Durban and other surrounding areas. • Ads in relevant newspapers and Magazines’ • Radio advertising in key markets • A public relations campaign targeting key media outlets throughout KwaZulu-Natal including, Radio Stations, TV Stations and Newspapers • Promoting in social networks like Facebook, twitter, mix it and etc. • Email marketing campaign • Grass roots –marketing through other religious gatherings

Cash is always greatly appreciated as well as in-kind goods such as; accommodations, Generators, Fencing, Tents, Tables, Food and Beverage, Transportation, Draw Prizes for fundraising efforts, Marketing, Advertising and Printing just to name a few. • PLATINUM SPONSOR - minimum sponsorship value (cash or in-kind) of R1500000.00 • GOLD SPONSOR - minimum sponsorship value (cash or in-kind) of R800 000.00 • SILVER SPONSOR - minimum sponsorship value (cash or in-kind) of R250 000.00 • BRONX SPONSOR - minimum sponsorship value (cash or in-kind) of R50 000.00
