  5. Beyond the Curriculum Mental Health and Wellbeing Mental health is essential for leading a happy life and it is as essential as physical health. It helps us to live our lives by encompassing our emotional, psychological, and sociological well-being. Normalizing the conversation about mental health empowers people to talk and get the guidance they need. Delhi Public School-Bopal, Ahmedabad has shown a commitment to embedding international awareness and understanding within their classes and school. We encourage this by completing collaborative, curriculum-based work with a number of international partner schools in Nepal, Dubai, Singapore and Australia for augmented global interconnectivity and cross-cultural competency beyond the curriculum and Career Counselling Cell. The school has collaborated with Burnside State High School, Queensland as a ‘Sister School'. Every year there is an exchange program between DPS-Bopal and BSHS on various topics especially related to Sustainable Development Goals. International Student Cell has been created to facilitate informed decisions by students about their choices in education in other countries. Universities from different countries are invited to provide detailed information through face-to-face interactions. Internship Programme is designed to provide hands-on experience to the students leading to a realistic assessment of the job environment, further guiding them towards making appropriate career choices. Career Counselling Cell has been introduced to provide interactions with professionals in the field in which students exhibit aptitude and inclination to enable students to implement the most appropriate decisions. They enter leading universities and are employed in leading organisations all over the globe not only because of their academic excellence but also their holistic development. The Counselling Cell under qualified and experienced counsellors, aims at strengthening the child's wellbeing. We at DPS-Bopal aid the students to counter stress, overcome complex situations and challenges of adoloscence. The students can walk up to the counsellor for a heart-to-heart talk and this has proved very helpful. Personalized Counselling: The Counsellor, available on all school days helps students from all grades when referred to by teachers or parents. This one-to-one interaction between the student and counsellor helps in improving confidence, resolving adjustment issues and finding the best solution. The counselling team not only helps the students but also guides and supports parents to equip them to take care of their children. Group Counselling: Equipping children with life skills is one of the most essential tasks. Programmes, Seminars, Webinars and Group Discussions are held on sensitive issues like Peer Pressure, Substance Abuse, Bullying, Gender Equality to create a strong awareness among the pupils. Group counselling helps in gaining multiple perspectives around an issue and improves communication skills.

Keeping with the maxim of “what we learn with pleasure, we never forget”, DPS-Bopal caters to motivated learning. The school and parents collaboratively guide the child to choose the right path to success. Prachi Jindal was the State topper with 99.8% in class X for 2019-20. Akshat jain won Kalpana Chawla National Scholar Award AIR 2 and a trip to NASA. He also won a trip to Russia for being amongst the top 12 in the National SOF Innovation Challenge conducted by NSO in 2018. Bharat Khandelwal topped the JEE at State Level and secured an AIR 5 in 2014-15. Class X AISSE 2022 Shreyansh Nagori won Rs 2 lakhs at the All India Online Quiz by Tata Sky in 2014. Avg.Agg.   8. I am Chirag Shrimali, an alumnus of Delhi Public School-Bopal, Ahmedabad, batch of 2019-20. I have procured an undergraduate degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management University,U.K. DPS has helped me to nurture my passion by participating in Model United Nations (MUN) conferences, enhancing my communication, time management, leadership, organisation, teamwork and several other skills. I am a committee member of the student society at my university. Working part-time at a café (formerly) and at a reception desk (currently) has helped me become more independent and hone my skill set. Be future ready with DPS- Bopal from Oxford Brookes The school takes pride in its accomplished alumni who hold a respectable position and profile in society. Our students have excelled in a plethora of fields like Data Science Analy- sis, Information Technology and Research, Aviation Industry , Medicine and Bio-Technology, Engineering, Real Estate, Stockbroking, Business and Financial Analysis, Legal and Judicial Services, Theatre and Film Production, Event Management, Fashion and Design, and Performing Arts. I am Subhashree Krishnamoorthi, an alumna of DPS 2013 Batch (Science). I completed my Masters in Wireless Communication from California State University - Long Beach. I am currently working as a Network Engineer at Samsung Electronics America, Texas. During my Masters’ I wanted to contribute towards the exploration of Cellular Technologies. I have been a part of this school from 2001-2013 and always value the importance of education I received at DPS. I am Shubhranshu Dutta, an alumnus of the 2017 humanities batch and was also the Head Boy of the school. I then pursued my undergraduate degree from the University of Warwick, in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. I am currently working as a Strategy Finance Consultant at Deloitte, in their London office. Previously, I was working with the world’s leading aerospace and defence company, BAE Systems. I credit my success to DPS and believe that I was carved into the individual that I am today, due to the exposure provided by the school. I, Ishankaur Khalsa, alumna of the 2017 Human- ities Batch completed my Bachelors degree in Politi- cal Science from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University in 2020. Post which, I worked as a political consultant with Mr. Prashant Kishor at the Indian Political Action Committee helping vision- ary, progressive, political leaders design citizen-cen- tric agendas. I have a Masters degree in Public Policy from St. Xavier’s College Mumbai and currently pursuing a second Masters degree in International and Development Studies from the Graduate Institute, Geneva as a Hans Wilsdorf Scholar on a full scholarship from the Rolex Foundation. I am Dipeet, currently a Commercial Airline Pilot flying the Boeing 767-300F, from the UK. I did my Pilot Training from Oxford Aviation Academy following my childhood passion and later I held a University Degree in Airline Operations with a 1st Class Honours. I have worked with a wide range of airlines from low-cost carriers to charter to even flag carriers like British Airways and also have worked as a Pilot Mentor. I am a Chair Member of a famous UK Aviation Charity, and have worked in the Management department of an Airline. I have also received an award from HRH Prince Philip of the UK for my contribution towards helping others. My journey couldn’t have been possible had I not been exposed to the wealth of knowledge from the teachers at DPS in my early days. I am greatly indebted to this school in helping me nuture my dreams. I wish to contribute towards sustainable, more inclusive, politically and economically viable models of development that can empower more and more citizens to serve as active agents of positive change.
