Haimre Park and Chapel • Dates back to 18 century • In Neo-Gothic style • The front of the building resembles a church • Alexander Uexküll, the son of the lord of Haimre manor, built the ‘chapel’ for his Oriental sweetheart • Locals refer to it as the ‘chapel of Muhammad’
Haimre Folk House • Dates back to 18th century • Elementary school from 1876 to 1932 • Houses the library of Märjamaa • Place of local parties
Folkmusic and Dance Festival • Established in 2006 • Around 300 dancers and singers from Märjamaa Parish • One of the most expected events of the year in the region
Varbola Hill Fort • Dates back to 1212 • One of the biggest and most powerful ancient fortresses in Estonia and entire northern Europe • Never conquered by any enemy • You can have an enjoyable picnic here!
Varbola Wood Days • Started in 1997 • Each year in August • Fair where you can buy products made of wood • Exhibition • Lots of attractions for grown-ups and children
