What’s a mailing list? • A list of email addresses of a group of people who are “members” or “subscribers” of the mailing list • The mailing list distributes each message sent to all members of the mailing list via a host computer
The Goal of CELT The Caucasus English Language Teaching Listserv serves to network English as a Foreign Language teachers in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia while helping them enhance their professional development through discussing, sharing, and producing information relevant to ELT in the region.
CELT Hosting • CELT is hosted on the Project Harmony server in Vermont • Mailman version 2.1.1(a free software for managing electronic mail discussion and e-newsletter lists, distributed under the GNU General Public License. )
CELT Description • Public (available for subscription to all interested parties) • Moderated (all the messages need to be approved by the list moderator) • Hidden (the list of members is available only to the list administrator)
The Members • EFL/ESL teachers at any level in South Caucasus • Teacher trainers • Interested organizations
Subscription • Send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org with a subject title “Subscribe to CELT” • Go to https://mail.projectharmony.org/mailman/listinfo/celt • To post a message to all the list members, send email to email@example.com.
