Precursor: Thanh Chung Nam Dinh school founded by the French in 1920; Through many changes, in 1959, the school was named after Le Hong Phong -Secretary General of Vietnam’s Communist Party; In 2003, it became the a gifted school of Nam Dinh province. Many reknown Politicians, Culture Activists, Scientists are alumni of the school; The school has received many honors:Hero unit in the renewal period;Labor Medals: First second, third Class; Independence Medal;many other awards from the Prime Minister; The school has the honour to welcome visits from many senior leaders of the Party, the State, the Ministry of Education. Many are award receivers. 3 teachers from Chemistry, Physics, Biology Dept having 5 students who are International Olympic medalists in 2012

Finding and Fostering of Gifted Students • The finding, fostering of excellent students is a regular work during the teaching, not a separate or independent process; • Teachers are directly responsible; • Invite extra help from colleagues, experts; • Invites the learners in higher grade to conduct training for younger ones.

Conclusion and Proposals PROPOSAL • Enhance the propagation and promotion of traditional fondness for learning among people in each locality, each family; • Strategy to find gifted students from Primary and Secondary levels; • To further improve mechanisms and policies for gifted students, enable them to become high-quality human resources;

Conclusion and ProposalsConclusion and Proposals • In the trend of globalization, knowledge, wisdom of every human being is no longer the exclusive property of their respective countries. • The discovery, selection, training of gifted students to create high-quality human resources has become a common responsibility of the globe. • I would like to thank the organizations for the initiatives to organize this Conference on the subject of fostering gifted students and for allowing me to make this presentation at this meeting. • We wish all of you good health, happiness and success!
