  2. The idea of this exercise is to keep the conversation going. Don’t stop signing until I stop you. I want to see how good you are at conducting a conversation in ASL. • Do you maintain eye contact? • Are you an active listener—with your facial expressions and comments? • Do you ask questions about what your partner has just said? • If you don’t understand what your partner has said do you use appropriate techniques for clarification?

  3. INTRODUCE YOURSELF-Have a conversation with your partner about the following topics. • NAME LEARNING WHAT? • NAME SIGN CLASSES YOU TAKE? • AGE MORNING ROUTINE? • LIVE WHERE? FAVORITE OUTFIT? • LIVE IN WHAT? • HEARING / DEAF • SCHOOL WHERE? • HOW DO YOU HELP OUT AROUND THE HOUSE?

  4. USING TENSE • Starting on today’s date explain what you did or will do at each of the following times: • Last week • 2 years ago • 2 weeks from now • 5 years from now
