UNIT FIRE PLAN TEMPLATE Meaningful document to the Units Framework for reporting achievements of the 2010 Strategic Fire Plan to: Sacramento and Region Staff Board of Forestry and Fire Protection Easy annual update of Unit Plans Meets the criteria of a Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP)

  2. Why CWPP Compliant? • Collaboration • Local Government • Federal Agencies • Other interested parties • Prioritized Fuel Reduction Treatments • Treatment of Structural Ignitability

  3. PLAN PERFORMANCE • Each Division, Battalion and Program should be involved in the development of the Unit Plan • Show how they will implement the Plan • Provides accomplishments each year for annual reporting

  4. REPORTING ACHEIVMENTS • Units will report achievements to Sacramento Staff on June 15th • Accomplishments will then be reported to the Board of Forestry and Fire Protection • Units will receive updated Statewide Priority Goals and Objectives by August of each year

  5. UPDATING UNIT PLANS • Units will no longer be required to rewrite their plans at each update • Units will track original document changes using amendments • Yearly achievements will be tracked as addendums • Amendments and Addendums will be posted on the CAL FIRE Internet
