  1. Chips Inside Your Brain By KalidAdem

  2. Introduction of the Chip • Introduced by Leon Theremin in 1945, the RFID Chip was invented as an espionage tool for the Soviets that retransmits audio information • It can be used to track and manage many things such as assets, people, and many more

  3. RFID Chip • What is it? • A programmable chip that is responsive to what is going on in the patients brain. • With the help of improved technology doctors are now able to use deep brain stimulation (DBS)

  4. Who it can help in the future • In current development, doctors plan to use it to help the blind regain some sight. • Parkinson’s – Due its past success using this implant in the future with patients by sending electrical impulses to the brain can treat several disorders

  5. Use and Market • As move technology develops the use of the chip has increased. • It has increased reliability of 99.9% • When it comes to market value, it is estimated to surpass $20 billion by 2014

  6. Drawbacks • Since its just being introduced its very expensive right now. • People currently have mixed feelings about it and some believe that they are ready for the chip yet.

  7. What researchers have done • In the lab some have researched on using the chip to implant in computers for robotics. • Though success of the chip is not yet 100 percent many believe that it will human reach a milestone in technology.

  8. How would the public responed • Some would like to see this in the future what good it can bring to society • Some however are opposed to it since they believe that biology and technology should not integrate • Others think that this could be the next step in human evolution ? ? ? • What do you think ? ?

  9. Conclusion • The chip is just in its beginning process but many predict that it will become very important due to its ability to improve human abilities rather than treating medical conditions. • Hopefully we can one day witness what the chip do for humans in the future
