  1. Pupils of the 4th class in Portella di Mare asked grandpa Carlo to teach them how to make a traditional homemade sweet for Christmas BUCCELLATI

  2. In the past many Sicilian families made them at home before Christmas. They spent the whole day all together by preparing this particular sweet

  3. Ingredients: 1 kg of flour (type 00)200 grams of sugar300 grams of butter3 eggs 1 dl. of Milk 10 grams of ammonia for sweet flour sugar butter eggs ammonia for sweets milk

  4. Ingredients for filling 150 grams of kernels 300 grams of dried figs 100 grams of dried grapes50 grams of plain chocolate 150 grams of minced toasted almonds 250 grams of diced chopped sweet white pumpkin A small quantity of cinnamon orange marmalade ½ glass of liqueur “Marsala” chocolate

  5. And now... let's start! Ed ora cominciamo!

  6. After having mixed and kneaded all the ingredients, divide the mixture in small parts

  7. Mix the ingredients for the filling and put it into the small parts extended in circular shapes Roll on and close the parts in different shapes, even if the traditional one is ring-shaped
