German Exchange 2010 Organised by Mrs Kyndt. Sunday 4 th July Arrive to load suitcases at 7.45 Depart Grays Convent at 8. Monday 5 th July: Visit to a zoo with Dolphin shows Tuesday 6 th July: Visit to Burg Eltz castle, boat trip on the River Mozelle ending in the town of Cochem.

Monday 5th July:Visit to a zoo with Dolphin shows • Tuesday 6th July: Visit to Burg Eltz castle, boat trip on the River Mozelle ending in the town of Cochem
Wednesday 7th July: • School and Rally Thursday 8th July: • Visit of Cologne : the cathedral and • possibly the chocolate museum
Friday 9th July • School and sports activity Saturday 10th July • Saturday is spent with host families Sunday 11th July • Return to Grays convent approx 4.30pm
Phoning Home • Mobile phones and ipods are not allowed. • No news is good news. Mrs Kyndt will contact you if necessary.
Behavioural Rules / Health and Safety • Try to avoid being alone always be in twos at least. • Listen to instructions carefully. • Be polite and sensible. You are in Germany…cultural difference….Try to be adventurous with food, which is offered to you. Look after your belongings. School will not be responsible if you lose money etc… • Should there be any serious behavioural issues, your daughter will be sent back to England at your own expense.
Money and presents • Euros: at parents’ discretion for amount (meals, drinks, souvenirs) • Bring presents for your host family, may be something typically British? • Photographs of your family, house, pet etc….
What To Pack? • Sweatshirts/Jumpers • Hat/Cap • T-shirts/Shirts • Jeans/Trousers • Water-proof jacket • Underwear • General toiletries including a small towel • COMFORTABLE SHOES = trainers (no flip flops nor stilettos)
Essentials • Watch • Pens, pencils and notepad • Dictionary • English to French adaptor (3 pin to 2) • Pens and paper • Comfortable bag
