Tickets Now on Sale for May 2013 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest and Festival in São Paulo, Brazil (1888PressRelease) First Contest and Festival Endorsed by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. in South America South American fans of the "Greatest Entertainer of All Time" will have an opportunity to rock and party for four days to the music of the King of Rock 'n' Roll at the São Paulo Elvis Festival, May 1-4, 2013, at the Circulo Militar de São Paulo. This is the first official Elvis tribute event in South America officially authorized by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., and presented by ElvisFestival.com. The São Paulo event will crown an Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist (ETA) qualifier, who will be one of the contestants in the 2013 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Finals during Elvis Week in Memphis, TN in August 2013. The São Paulo ETAs will be competing for R$10,000 in prize money, with the grand champion receiving R$2,000 plus airfare and hotel accommodations during the Elvis Week 2013 finals in Memphis. The São Paulo winner will also receive a custom-made Elvis jumpsuit in one of four designs from B&K Enterprises. Preliminary rounds are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, with the semi-finals on Friday and the finals on Saturday. "We're so excited to be bringing four days of activities to Elvis fans in South America," said Jason Sherry, president of Sherry Management, LLC, and festival director. "Elvis never performed in South America, but now his legend and spirit can be celebrated and honored during our May 2013 São Paulo Elvis Festival." Sherry added that the highlight of the festival on Saturday night, May 3, is the Las Vegas-styled concert, "Encore: From Memphis to São Paulo." Two of the most accomplished and popular Elvis Tribute Artists, Vic Trevino Jr. and Dwight Icenhower, will rock the house, backed by São Paulo's Morris Britt Band.

  2. Trevino's tribute to Elvis will transport guests back to the early days of his career during the 1950s, when his legendary status as the King of Rock 'n' Roll was just beginning to grow. As the headliner and special guest of the Festival, Icenhower will recreate one the greatest moments in Elvis' career, the unforgettable 1968 "Comeback" TV Special. Alexandre Pittoli will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the Saturday evening concert and all festival events. "An Elvis Presley Tribute Festival wouldn't be complete without the after-hours parties that our American festival goers love," said Sherry. "Following the semi-final round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Friday evening and the big concert Saturday evening, everyone will be gathering to continue the partying into the wee hours of the morning." According to Sherry, the locations of the after-hours parties have yet to be determined, and other activities may also be added to the four-day schedule.
