  1. Precious Metals Have an Intrinsic Value says Bill Hionas (1888PressRelease) Precious metals bullion has considerable appeal for investors. MIAMI, FL - The precious metals market is arguably no place for amateurs at the moment. The ongoing debt crisis in the euro zone, with no clear sign of a satisfactory resolution, is making investors nervous and precious metals prices have been volatile. Precious metals bullion is a unique financial instrument; it does not produce income or pay dividends; however, precious metals have an intrinsic value due to their rarity, beauty and functionality and have been proven, over centuries, to hold their value. Precious metals have provided investors with a hedge against inflation and economic turmoil and, as such, they have performed very well. Gold is the preferred vehicle for investors needing a safe haven for wealth protection but investment interest in the white metals has increased dramatically over the last decade. These metals also rely heavily on industrial demand so, theoretically, they could perform well when the economy is in trouble on safe-haven demand and should definitely do so when the economy is stronger as industrial demand then increases. Silver and palladium, in particular are both slated to rebound strongly in the coming weeks. The white metals are used in a range of industries due to their unique properties. However, jewelry making is a constant source of demand for these metals also. As gold has become almost prohibitively expensive, jewelers are turning to cheaper alternatives such as silver and palladium. Palladium is a lustrous, silvery-white metal that does not tarnish, making it a favorite alternative to white gold or platinum.
