  3. BLUF • Bring approximately 3000 DLA employees into the Defense Acquisition Workforce in the career field of Life Cycle Logistics

  4. Current Implementation • August 15, 2012 – J3 notified impacted SES members of their position designation • August 20, 2012 – DLA launched Spiral 1 • Approximately 300 GS 13-15s on 39 Enterprise Business System (EBS) PDs across the enterprise were notified of a change in their positions and the ensuing requirement to achieve Level III certification in Life Cycle Logistics • Currently apprpoximately 5-10% of incumbents on newly coded positions have been certified

  5. Upcoming Activities • Reviewing bargaining unit PDs for inclusion into Spiral 2 • Approximately 2200 GS 9-12 employees on 100 PDs • Expect Spiral Roll Out Date to be late January 2013 • Exploring break down into sup-spirals to reduce load on DAU • Review non-EBS PDs as necessary • Review need for ACDU Acquisition Positions

  6. Issues • 24 month completion requirement • Special Details • Leadership Development Training for new supervisors • DAU capacity
