  3. Climate Change, Cambodia and Climate Vulnerability • Cambodia is the most climate vulnerable countries in the world • Flood and drought - regular occurrences contribute to the extreme poverty

  4. To overcome from such climatic crisis, world has been working on • Cambodia Millennium development goals • 1: Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger • 2: Pchieveuniversal primary education • 3: Promote gender equality and empower Women • 4: Reduce child mortality • 5: Improve maternal health • 6: Combat HIV/aIds, malaria and other diseases • 7: Ensure environmental sustainability • 8: Forge a global partnership for development • 9: de-mining

The RGC, Development Partners, IOs and other agencies have been implementing many programs and projects - PPCR/SPCR CCCA Green Growth NAPA Rio 20+ etc. there are many climate friendly development initiatives have come and coming up • In these standpoint, what are the key challenges to maintain the development momentum and maximize the benefits for the most vulnerable people at risks? • Constructive Dialogue among partners • Strengthening engagement of all institutions/agencies • Effective and efficient Communication among all stakeholders

  6. How to address such challenges What to do ? Where to start ? How to start ? Who should take the lead? There are many questions around us dialogueamong partners in society can strengthen the processes of building climate resilience in Cambodia and beyond

  7. How dialogue can contribute in climate resilience ? • Strengthening national-level policy framework and coordination (i.e. CCCSP) • Build awareness, knowledge and capacity • Local actions (D&D process) • Ensure secure and reliable access to finance • Strengthen governance and decision-making • And many more (DRR, gender,……..)
