  7. How do we capture Patient Experience? We regularly meet with the most vulnerable of our community to ensure their needs and experiences are heard, including homeless, older people. We work closely with Patients, Public, Carers, Partners and third sector organisations to ensure experiences are captured across the borough. We use a wide range of resources to capture patient experience, these include:

  9. What is Patient Participation? Patient participation is a unique partnership between patients, GPs and their practice which is essential to and results in high quality and responsive care

  10. What do PPG’s do? Patient Participation Groups work in partnership with their practices to: • help patients to take more responsibility for their health. • contribute to the continuous improvement of services and quality of care • foster improved communication between the practice and its patient • provide practical support for the practice and help to implement change

  11. National Association Patient Participation (N.A.P.P) Established in 1978, N.A.P.P is uniquely placed as the only UK umbrella organisation for patient-led groups in general practice. N.A.P.P provide essential support to GPs and practice teams through a comprehensive range of evidence-based high quality specialist resources developed from over thirty years experience and formation of hundreds of Patient Participation Groups.
