K-12 K2K Goals • Build pilina (relationships) and develop a Professional Learning Community • WEO-infused K-12 curricular articulation • WEO-infused K-12 curricular alignment
KSK Action Plan for 2013-14 WASC (agreed upon by KSK Leadership) • Yr3 Goal:By May 31, 2014, all three divisions on campus will complete consensus maps that demonstrate the inclusion of Kula Hawaiʻi (WEO) and K-12 curriculum links.
Kapālama Benchmarks • By December 2013, begin implementation of the plan for completing a consensus map for respective group that demonstrates K-12 articulation and Kula Hawaiʻi (WEO) inclusion. • By March 2014, consensus groups are ½ way completed and include evidence of K-12 articulation and Kula Hawaiʻi (WEO) inclusion. • By May 2014, consensus groups are “completed and include evidence of K-12 articulations and WEO inclusion.
What does this mean for KHS? • Build dept 9-12 understanding and agreement around WEO (REFERS DEPT AGREE) • Work on departmental common course maps (listed in Atlas with M) (COURSES AGREE) • Work starts today and continues Oct 8 • “Complete” is a relative term…
