Workforce Data • Focus of much work in recent years • - 2003-04 – sectoral workforce data limited – partial picture • 2005 – core minimum data set (CMDS) agreed • 2006 – CMDS embedded in Scottish Government and Care Commission data gathering processes • 2007 – data gathered with CMDS • 2008 – Workforce Data Project established • 2009 – analysis of data and data quality
Workforce Planning • No statutory responsibility on employers for workforce planning • Improvement Service survey of local authorities (2009) • Registration agenda and workforce planning • COSLA Demographic sub group – report on costings (2009) • Ministerial Strategic Group – Reshaping services for older people • Joint paper with Christine McGregor
