  4. Blue Monkey • Not actually blue • Most males will leave group when mature • Females may try to steal other monkeys children

  5. Orangutan • Very intelligent • Main diet fruit • Very territorial

  6. Howler Monkey • Tail grows to body length • Howl can be heard from 10 miles away • They stop eating when in captivity

  7. Vervet monkey • active both during the day and the night • mature at about 2 ½ years of age •  groups can have as many as 40 members

  8. Mandrill • largest species of Monkey in the world •  most diverse genetic Monkeys in the world

  9. Gorilla • Eats yellow fruit and meat • 600 lbs. and grow as tall as 5′ 9′

  10. Ape • Depend on vision • Have there own language

  11. Proboscis Monkey • Worship in Egypt as gods • Actually like swimming

  12. Squirrel monkey • Found in swamp lands • They eat anything but meat

  13. Gibbon • Fastest tree swinging monkey • Doesn’t make nests

  14. Summary All of these monkeys are related in the primate family. All are mainly vegetarians except of a few exceptions
