  1. About Choosing The Best Systems For Your Rifle Any rifleman, any competition shooter, hunters, wing-shooters all have their favorite firearm, once they get used to over time and later handle as if automatically. A lot depends on the firearm too, its features that the shooter is looking for. Some prefer a lightweight rifle, or one with bespoke elements added such as a specific stock, or some personal detail such as special engraving, or the telescopic sight of their choice. As is the case with parts and accessories, the buyer has choices, as these can – often – be bought separately from the firearm. The telescopic sight also called the scope, is that part that sits on top of the rifle to make sure the shooter is given the best assistance to aim at an object, or targets such as the deer they’re hunting – or the target to be hit during competition. Sights are often bought separately from the firearm the user owns – instead of buying the sight already mounted on the rifle when you acquire it. For many, this is their preferred option as it enables them to find, and mount, the exact sight they want. Buying these means that you will order or buy a mounting system that consists of a base section and its rings; some systems are offered as 1- and others as 2-ring mounts. It is then attached to your rifle with the applicable screws. The exact size of the mounting systemis required to fit with one’s specific rifle – also the screws that are needed to attach the sight. Screws are normally provided by the supplier as part of the mounting system. These scope mount systems are chosen according to buyers’ preference, and certainly considering the type of rifle it is meant for. Rings and bases should match. Well-known rifle scope mounts are, for example, the Weaver, the Picatinny, and Leupold types; the base and rings should match regardless of the style you choose. Owners will look at the choices available and find out from the supplier which type would be most suitable for their rifle and certain brands. Experienced dealers and suppliers - also the seasoned shooter – are often the ones to consult if you feel uncertain about the style best suited to sit on top of your rifle. Other factors such as, say, cost, may also influence the rifle owner’s choice – as long as they choose a system that can be used with their rifle. In addition to cost, the owner will probably look at the material the system is made of such as aluminum or another, heavier material, or how easy or difficult it would be to mount the system to their rifle. Owners will consider the type of rifle they have, and often it's brand before they choose their mounting system. For example, names and brands such as Traditions, Browning, Benelli,

  2. Howa, Remington, Weatherby, and other leading brand names can all be bought without sights and the scopes then mounted afterward. Of course, it is always good to know who the best dealers are and what products they offer. Some leading scope mount systems such as, for example, the Game Reaper and Freedom Reaper can be used with most of the leading brands’ scopes. There are indeed some choices out there, and finding a good, knowledgeable supplier is a great start. Some of them have a shop in your city or region; others, these days, market their scope mount systems via their websites, which has become the preferred choice for many, especially if it is a system that is easily attached, known to be strong and lasting, a system that is known and recommended for the accuracy it offers the shooter. Some companies that offer these scope mount systems have been around for a very long time – often a good indication of the quality of the bases, rings, and screws they sell, as well as offering good service.
