User Services Center Registration • Using a web browser, access the FLUENT corporate web page at www.fluent.com • Find Customer Resources under Services • Click the User Services Center link • After registering, you will receive an e-mail with your USC login and password at the address you provided on the registration page

Online Technical Support • Access from the USC • Same account as USC • Services include: • Find solutions • Ask a technical support question • Monitor status of previous question • Automatic updates • A web-based training module is available for download. • Exchange files with support staff (anonymous FTP) • ftp to ftp.fluent.com • Log in as ftp and use your e-mail address as the password. • cd to incoming/xxx or outgoing/xxx and put/get files in binary mode. • The support engineer will provide the xxx

FLUENT Products Integrated Into ANSYS Product Suite • FLUENT – General purpose CFD solver for a wide range of industries. • Polyflow – Spectral element solver used for extrusion, blow molding and viscoeleastic flow applications. • FLUENT for CATIA – FLUENT is embedded in CATIA 5 to allow CFD to be done in the CATIA PLM environment. • GAMBIT – Preprocessor for FLUENT, Fidap and Polyflow • TGrid – Preprocessor that can generate a tet/hybrid mesh from an imported surface mesh. • See the Appendix for more details on these products.

FLUENT Products Integrated into ANSYS Product Suite • Icepak – Has a custom-built interface on top of FLUENT solver used for analyzing electronics cooling applications. • Airpak – Has a custom-built interface on top of FLUENT solver used for solving ventilation/environmental contamination problems. • MixSim - Has a custom-built interface on top of FLUENT solver used to solve mixing tank problems • FloWizard – Has a wizard-driven interface that sits on top of FLUENT and GAMBIT that can be easily used by non-CFD specialists. • CoolSim – An interface to perform analysis of data center air flow and cooling load requirements. • See the Appendix for more details on these products.

Other ANSYS Products • ANSYS, Inc. family of products include the following: • ANSYS – Advanced nonlinear mechanical and multiphysics FEA solution capabilities • ANSYS Workbench – Complete environment for geometry modeling, mesh manipulation, structural/thermal analysis, and optimization, which is tightly integrated with CAD packages. • ANSYS CFX – General purpose CFD solver, including the coupled, parallel ANSYS CFX solver. • ANSYS ICEM CFD – Powerful meshing tools with general pre- and post-processing features, including ICEM CFD for generating complex CFD grids and AI*Environment for creating sophisticated structural FEA meshes

ANSYS Workbench Overview • ANSYS Workbench comprises seven modules: • Simulation for performing structural and thermal analyses using the ANSYS solver • CFX-Mesh for generating a mesh for the ANSYS CFX solver • DesignModelerfor creating and modifying CAD geometry to prepare the solid model for use in Simulation or CFX-Mesh • DesignExplorer and DesignExplorer VT for investigating the effect of variations input to the response of the system • FE Modeler for translating a Nastran mesh for use in ANSYS • Advanced CFD for performing CFD analyses using the ANSYS CFX solver. • Advanced Meshing for generating complex CFD grids and sophisticated structural FEA meshes using ICEM CFD

IcePak • IcePak is focused on electronics cooling design: • Cooling airflow, heat conduction, convection and radiation heat transfer • The user interface and automatic meshing are tailored for applications such as: • Cabinet design • Fan placement • Board-level design • Heat sink evaluation Flow pathlines and temperature distribution in a fan-cooled computer cabinet.

MixSim • MixSim is a specialized user interface that allows quick and easy set-up of mixing tank simulations. • The tank size, bottom shape, baffle configuration, number and type of impellers, etc. are specified directly. • The mesh and complete problem definition are then automatically created. • Other features • Impeller libraries from leading equipment manufacturers • Transient sliding mesh, steady-state multiple reference frame models • Non-Newtonian rheology

FloWizard • Our first general purpose CFD product for non-specialists driven by FLUENT and GAMBIT. • FloWizard’s focus is on ease of use and automation: • It is a highly-automated, “first pass” simulation tool for use in basic flow and heat transfer calculations. • A wizard-based interface guides the user through all the steps of a CFD analysis, from problem set-up to post-processing. • The user is insulated from specialized CFD parameters, such as discretization and turbulence model choices.
