  1. Introduction Today I’m sharing some tips on how to grow your server, and where to start! Create your server focused on a subject that people mostly like: People won’t join your server if it’s not interesting. In fact, I tried making an attempt at owning a community hangout server, which probably ended up having 30 members in total, while there are larger servers with the same topic. Choose another type of server theme that isn’t seen around Discord that much, and who knows? It could grow. So say for example; advertising Discord bots server, there aren't many of them around Discord, that’ll be your next big server.

  2. Be active, be involved with your community: To get users to engage, you have to engage with your community. Ask them how their day is going, what are they playing, and other conversation starters. Consider hosting events, some good games include; cards against humanity, jackbox games, and skribblio. Just engaging with your community and doing events will make the members be more active and be more involved with the server. Establish Partnerships, and good marketing/advertising plans: The best way to get the word out about your server is partnering with current growing communities. Create a friendship with that community and be somewhat active within that community. Add your server using websites like our site DiscordServers.me, and or any other Discord advertising websites or servers. Make sure you have a great description about your community, what you are about, what you offer, etc. Give as much information as you can about your server. If you have loads of friends, you can ask them to join your server, and ask them to spread the word to their other friends/family. It’s a handy method, but it’s okay. Establish rewards for engaged members: Building an active community can take time — but offering special roles or privileges to active users can help incentivize more activity. This can be like a special color for their name, a high spot on a list of users, own a channel for a week, or the ability to react to messages with emotes. Don’t be afraid to to take action: Plenty of people use Discord instead because they dislike the toxicity of Reddit or the politics on Facebook. Don’t let any toxicity creep into your server. Make your server a space people can enjoy, and they’ll tell their friends. Viral marketing like this is one of the core

  3. principles of how to make your Discord server popular. Remember, this is your server. You have the freedom to remove anyone who you think may contribute negatively to your domain. Dealing with a nasty community member seems difficult, but the solution is plain, and it involves three steps: 1) Warn them: When you see someone acting inappropriately on your server, point that out. Define how you expect people to behave, point out the server's rules so they can avoid any more warnings. People make mistakes, and sometimes, a warning keeps them from doing the same thing again. 2) Mute them: If your troublemaker won’t stop behaving, mute them. Reminding them again that it's not ok to do whatever they are doing 3) Ban them: If the issue appears again, ban that person from your community. This approach helps you address bad behavior. But it’s also fair. React too swiftly and ban people before you’ve told them what’s wrong, that could cause backlash. Don’t Get Discouraged: Discord is an amazing space for connecting with other people who share your passions. But it’s also a popular space, and sometimes, it’s hard to get noticed. Don’t let that simple fact drag you down. It takes weeks, if not months, of hard work to set up a Discord server properly and start the conversations humming. It also takes hard work to help people find out about who you are and why you’re important. Don’t give up before you get started. Put in the hard work and keep at it. Soon, you’ll have the community you’ve been looking for.

  4. Your setup: In theory, it’s easy to create a Discord server. But in reality, it takes time to nail down all the specifics and get things running . If you’re struggling to promote your discord server finder, your setup could be to blame too. You might need to tap into bots to clean up the messes your conversations leave behind. You might need more (or fewer) moderators to step in when things go wrong. And you might need to identify the right invitation strategy, so you’re bringing important people into the conversation. There’s no shame in stepping back and ensuring you have the basics down pat. If you can’t get people to join and stay involved, a return to a setup basics could be the change you need. Welcome your new users: When a member joins your social discord servers, make sure they get a great welcome. There are plenty of bots that provide automatic welcomes. Some bots even provide image welcomes, meaning they take the new member’s avatar, apply some cool filters to it, and then slot that into a neat welcome image. Small token of gratitude like this will make the new member feel welcome, at least a little, and it’ll add a streak of professionalism to your server. Even better, in the early stages, if you welcome your users personally, this would mean an incredible deal to them. Your server won’t be receiving hundreds of new users initially, (well, sometimes it depends!), so you might be able to ask your users some questions about why they joined. Be chatty, friendly, and of course your users will love to stick around. There’s nothing like a great welcome to make a fantastic impact!
