This study delves into experimental facets of the pN interaction in the resonance region, highlighting the ambiguities in partial-wave analysis results. The research, supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, aims to resolve remaining uncertainties through spin rotation parameter measurements. The comparison of N* and D resonance statuses is also a focal point.

New experimental facets of the pN-interaction investigations in the resonance region. • V.V.Sumachev(1) V.V.Abaev(1), I.V.Lopatin(1), V.P.Kanavets(2), • S.P.Kruglov(1). • Abstract. • Recent experiments of the PNPI-ITEP collaborations resolved a part of the twofold ambiguities of the PWA. The PNPI-ITEP results were used in the new partial-wave analysis (PWA) FA02 of the George Washington University groups. In FA02 the number of the N* and D resonances is essentially lower, than such in RPP tables. This result intensifies the problem which is known as a problem of the “missing” resonances. • The program of the essentially new measurements of the spin rotation parameters A and R is under discussion. Such additional experiments are necessary to resolve possible remaining twofold ambiguities of the PWA. • This work is supported by Russian Foundation for Basic Research, • grant № 04-02-16335. • Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute, Gatchina, Russia. • 2.
