The Current Situation • The United States has the highest GNP in the world • The US spends nearly half of all health care dollars spent in the world • Life expectancy in the US is one of the lowest of industrialized countries, behind Jordan and Slovenia • Infant mortality? • We are 31st! • Cuba, Slovenia and Estonia do better!
