  2. What do orthodontists do? • Orthodontists study and treat improper bites, also known as malocclusions • Orthodontics is a specialty area of dentistry because not everyone has to have an orthodontist

  4. What you need to be an orthodontist An orthodontist must have a doctorate degree. They’ll also have to go to dental school which usually takes four years. Afterwards they’ll have to go through a two year orthodontics specialty program. Click here to see a video!

  7. How do orthodontists use math? They use all types of math for billing, setting up payment plans, using account numbers to keep track of clients, and to pay their employees. The teeth are numbered so they can identify them.
