  1. What is it about ? • In some cases, it is needed to distribute catalogs for Winner on multiple computers. • Some situations when this is needed : • User made a catalog himself • User made changes to catalogs (indexes, texts, drawings, ..) • Then it would be not practical to have to do these changes on multiple computers. • Since Winner 7.5a19 there is a way to distribute catalogs.

  2. What do you need ? • Winner (provided by Compusoft) • A licence for pkzip for Dos (provided by pkware) !! Users have to take care of this themself. Compusoft cannot be held responsible if they don’t !! • Compusoft ERP Solutions Bizserver (provided by CS ERP Solutions) (optional, see end of this presentation) • A connection to ftp site ftp.activesync.be (provided by Copaplus) (optional, see end of this presentation) • Windows 32 bit system (pkzip doesn’t work on 64 bit systems)

  3. How to install ? • Installation is quite forward : • Start the installation program • Click Install, Finish, .. • No settings are needed.

  4. A shortcut on the desktop is created.A menu item is added.

  5. Now how do you use it ? • The user does changes to Winner catalogs • IMPORTANT : Close the dialog box, otherwise things may not have been saved correctly

  6. After the changes have been done, and you registered them, export the catalog

  7. Then start the Compusoft Catalog Distribution tool

  8. A connection to internet is made. The computer tries to start something. Do click on Run, NOT Save

  9. Select the catalog you wish to distribute.Some things will happen automatically.At the end an explorer windows is shown with a file.

  10. Select the file, right click and select Copy.Then close the windows.

  11. Click OKA connection to an ftp site will be made.The login and password must be provided by Copa Plus.When connected to the site, paste the file.

  12. That’s the end of your job.CS ERP Solutions gets a mail that something has been put on the ftp site.They fetch the file, put it in a “Bizserver package”.When users start Bizserver, the system downloads these packages and they get installed by Winner.

  13. Special cases • What if you don’t have the optional requirements (Bizserver, ftp connection) ? • The program can be set in a mode where you can save the files to a folder on the hard disc, usb dongle, .. • To install the catalog, one must then run ksetup.exe from this folder, usb, .. • Run the C:\Catdist\catdist.reg file to activate this mode
