In addition to that, most women are still quite contented with just taking care of their baby. You can start losing weight by cutting back on salt and starchy foods two weeks after giving birth. These contribute a lot on fluid retention. Fluid retention is what causes bloated feelings. And most of the weight you have gained during pregnancy is actually fluid. So the faster they go, the better for your self-esteem. You can also try going to steam rooms to "sweat it out" since you are not yet ready to take on a full- fledged exercising routine. This can actually help you a lot in reducing fluid retention. On top of that, it helps get rid of toxins in the body so you are virtually starting with a clean slate. After 3 months or so when you are already physically and emotionally ready for a change in your physique, you can start a healthier diet. Choose lean meat and white meat over its fatty counterpart. Pick whole grain cereals, bread, rice, and pasta to aid in your digestion. Stay away from processed foods loaded with preservatives, sugar and salt. Refrain from eating at fast food restaurants. I believe you already know these tips by heart but it is time to seriously follow them. Choose a more doable exercise routine for you.
