  8. Gas system Dear Massimo,Following the discussion you had with Stefan and Frederic concerning the gassystem for the na62 rich, we evaluate the following price for the secondversion (i.e. the detector is a vacuum vessel):-) gas system: 220 kCHF-) Ne recuperation unit (optional): 80 kCHFThe price includes all the installation work needed (racks installation anddetector connection to the gas system). You can find in attachment the drawing for the last version. We are available if you would like to discuss in more detail the gas system.Best regards,Frederic, Roberto

  9. Gas System

  10. Gas System Dear Roberto and Frederic, Thank you very much for this drawing and for the estimate. I have a few comments/questions to the scheme: For the names and locations: you could consider the following changes:o UX -> ECN3o Mixer in Surface -> Gas area in B918o The battery should go to B920 (gas storage area) I am not sure I understand the pump module in the UX. When you empty the tank for recovery you would still need a vacuum pump ? In the minimal system, without gas recovery , one wouldn't need the UX pump module (except for a vacuum pump), neither the pump module in the surface. Is that correct? Although, we think at this stage it is not required, we should keep in mind the possible option of gas re-circulation and purification. I think, one would probably want a purge outlet with a big bubbler (separated by manual valve) for flushing during shut-downs (perhaps, just before YV 6127). Pipework: Some pipes indicated on the drawing (e.g. Ø=22 from B918 to ECN3) don't exist. It would be good identify exactly what can be re-used from existing pipes and what must be installed new. The Air supply should be clean air from a battery and the Air supply in ECN3 needs to be created (one could re-use one of the existing small diameter pipes)Regarding the schedule, it would be good if the system can be installed in spring 2012. Cheers, Ferdi
