Grade 10 Program – Required Courses • English 10 or English 10 Incentive • Provincial exam worth 20% of the final mark • Foundations of Mathematics and Pre-Calculus 10 or Apprenticeship and Workplace Mathematics 10 • Provincial exam worth 20% of the final mark • Science 10 or Science 10 Incentive • Provincial exam worth 20% of the final mark • Social Studies 10 or Social Studies 10 Incentive • Physical Education 10

Grade 9 & 10 - Elective Courses • Modern Languages courses - French - Japanese - Mandarin - Spanish Some universities have a requirement of a 2nd language to a gr. 11 or beginner 11 level

Remedial Summer School(for students with a final mark of 40 – 49 percent) INCOMPLETE (40 TO 49%) (FOR ENGLISH, MATH, SCIENCE, SOCIAL STUDIES) • go to Summer School to complete the course • 4 weeks in July • 1 ½ hours per day per course in the morning • Can take 1 or 2 courses The incomplete grade is changed in August to a PASS or FAIL
Full Credit Summer School • 6 weeks in the summer • 3 hours per day either morning or afternoon • Can take 1 or 2 courses • Students must meet ESL requirements • When completed the full credit summer school course, students will be programmed into the next level IF POSSIBLE
Graduation Requirements • You’ll need 80 credits from grades 10 to 12.
English as a Second Language (ELL)(ELL level for next year is based on the Spring Assessment)
