  3. Disabled Users Group • Terms of reference not yet agreed • Trying to establish a regular group of people • Still looking for representation from • Sensory impaired disabled people • Wythall, Hagley, Alvechurch and Rubery

  4. Disabled Users Group • Items before the Group are urgent in nature • The Town Centre redevelopment • The design and installation of the High Dependency Unit • Involve Mencap, Speakeasy NOW, Padstone and Chadsgrove

  5. Disabled Users Group • We need a discussion on the relationship between the Forum and the DUG • How can we avoid duplication? • What items will come before both groups? • How can we communicate effectively between the two groups? • Do people want to attend both sets of meetings?

  6. Bromsgrove Hate Incident Partnership ( BHIP ) • Partnership liaising with Speakeasy NOW to produce an Easy Read Version of the reporting form • The form has been tested by Speakeasy NOW service users

  7. Bromsgrove Hate Incident Partnership ( BHIP ) • New Reporting Centres – • North Works SPIN • Shopmobility • Greenscope • Padstone • MARC including floating Youth Worker • Sure Start • Tourist Information Office • Victim Support - volunteers

  8. Visit of H.R.H. The Earl of Wessex • Bromsgrove on 25th January • Greenscope - met service users • Saw can recycling project • Cans from Council House, Dolphin Centre, Artrix and Customer Service Centre • Positive press coverage • Further advice on recycling and outlets for recycled materials • Looking at employment opportunities for adults with learning difficulties

Tailoring Equality and Diversity Strategy for Worcestershire ( TEDS ) • County wide project to improve the approach to Equality and Diversity • Improve service delivery to all sections of the community through awareness raising • All partner Councils are working towards achieving Level 3 of the Local Government Equality Standard by the end of the operational year 2009/2010

Electronic Reference Panel • Only 1 person came forward • Need to agree what is the minimum to make this representative • Items agreed as Together Bromsgrove and Posters • Very quick turnaround because of print deadlines – could be as little as 24 hours • Comments limited to colours/ formats and equality issues e.g. images

  11. Electronic Reference Panel • Suggest that selected pages of Together Bromsgrove are put forward • Excludes adverts and contributions from partners • Other things that could be put forward?

Electronic Reference Panel • Improved idea now in progress • Creating a separate “cyber” space • Will contain all the papers for the Forum • Each participant will receive an email everytime something is added • Each email contact will receive an ID and a password to login to this space with instructions • Can be used for bulletin boards etc. • Live demonstration for June meeting
