Outrage spreads across France after deadly police shooting

President Emmanuel Macron battled to contain a mounting crisis after riots spread across France, set off by the deadly police shooting of a teenager of North African descent during a traffic stop in a Paris suburb.<br>The French president described the shooting dead of the 17-year-old as u201cinexcusableu201d, in rare criticism of law enforcement.<br>More than 900 people have been arrested in riots since the teen u2014 who was only identified by his first name, Nahel u2014 was killed during a traffic stop in the Paris suburb of Nanterre.
