  1. Visit to Gyor by Stefan Radovanovic

  2. 5th June 2004 • This journey to Hungary was really great. We had great fun in the train and even greater with our friends in Gyor. • We arrived at our friends homes on 5th of June in the evening. Norbi’s parents were very hospitable and caring.

  4. 6th June • At about 12 o’clock we arrived at Panonhalma, the first catholic church in Hungary. We saw a lot of interesting things there. The church had an unusual door full of carved animals, such as snakes, birds and others. I couldn’t resist but put my finger in the snake’s mouth and nothing happened to me – I just found myself in hospital – I’m just kidding. After Panonhalma we went to McDonald’s and had a lunch there at about 5 o’clock. In the evening we went to the Gyor Theatre and saw a ballet performance. It was really exciting and funny, especially the men’s dance, which was pretty modern.

  5. 7th June • We went to Norbi’s school to give our presentations. The first were Bulgarians, than we and Hungary at the end. Hungarian presentations were funny and interesting like Bulgarian ones, but I think we were closer to Hungarians beacuse ours films were more individual. • After presentations we had a walk in the city and than we went with Bori, Kaca and Nevena to the park and we had great fun there, talking and playing on park toys, just like small children.

  6. 8th June • At 8:30 we were on our way to Balaton lake. We’ve stopped at Vesprem where another teacher, Babi, waited for us. We had a little walk there. • When we arrived at the main church we had a beautiful view of Balaton lake. We put a coin in the binoculars to see the lake more closely. It was very beautiful. We felt as if we were at the seaside. After seeing the church we went to the other side of Balaton. On that way we stopped at a castle. It was huge and very nice. It had a big library and many objects were made of gold. In the garden there was a big fountain where I dropped my camera. I was desperate, but my teacher Mira told me it would be OK when it dried up. She was right, but I’ve got purple pictures.

  7. 9th June • 10:40 am. We were allready on our way to Budapest. We went across one of many bridges which connect Buda and Pesta. We had a breathtaking view of the Danube. • The first destination was the Hungarian Parlament, which is a copy of the English one. We saw a crown which Hungarian kings used to wear. Almost everything was made of gold. There were pictures on the walls and statues. It was amazing. • After Parlament we visited another castle and we went to a gallery. In the same place we visited a church and heard the organs. During our stay we visited four churches and in each of them there were organs. We took pictures of those instruments in every church but I wished to listen to them. My wish came true in this church, where we could also see a copy of the real crown from the Parliament. The church name was the Matthias Church.

  8. 10th June • We spent the whole day at Gyor swimming pool. It was one of those 7 exciting days where we had most of fun. There were indoor and outdoor pools. • The indoor pools had warm water from 28C to 30C, a slide which was about 32 m long and a small waterfall. • The outdoor pool had a slide whose lenght was 64 m and a jacuzzi just like indoors and you could go through a small passage from indoor to outdoor pools and the other way round.

  9. Saying goodbye • Everything together was great! We had a lot of fun and I wasn’t bored at any moment. We had the opportunity to practise our English and hear other people talking. • This was another new and good experience to all of us and I hope I will see Norbi, Bori and Erik again.
