Facts about Scotland • Scotland is considered as the home land of golf • Country is well known in the world for its whisky • The highest point in Scotland is Ben Nevis at 1343 meters • People speak English and Scottish, but you can also hear Scottish Gaelic • Country is known for bagpipes • The climate of Scotland is temperate, oceanic and tends to be very changeable

  9. Loch Ness • It’s a large, deep, freshwater loch in the Scottish Highlands • Its deepest point is 230 m • It’s best known for the sightings of the cryptozoological Loch Ness Monster, also known affectionately as “Nessie” • The only island on Loch Ness is Cherry Island
