  2. In French, regular verbs are conjugated by following 2 simple steps: Form a stem Step 1: Step 2: Add the correct ending for the subject of the verb

  3. Regular –er Verbs 1. To form the stem, take the –er off the end of the infinitive. • Example of an –er verb conjugation: • Infinitive: parler (to speak) parl- • Stem: 2. Add the following endings for the different subjects: parler Je parle -e Tu parles • Je  • Tu  • Il/Elle/On  • Nous  • Vous  • Ils/Elles  -es Il/elle/on parle -e Nous parlons -ons parlez Vous -ez parlent Ils/elles -ent NOTE: je _______ when the following word begins with a ___________. j’ vowel
