  1. True Reasons Why the Best True Reasons Why the Best Employees Leave their Managers Employees Leave their Managers

  2. Though most of the employees tend to sugarcoat the reason they are leaving the job like for a better opportunity or for a higher paying salary, more often than not there is a different underlying reason: their managers. While employees can’t choose their managers, they just learn to adjust with the character and will of their bosses. Even if the best employees keep up with their patience, there is less likely of a harmonious working relationship between their superiors. Vicente E. Garcia, who worked for SAP and HP, think that managers should not complain about their best employees walking out the door but must analyze themselves as a manager and look into other reasons I will cite below.

  3. Managers don’t recognize the employee contribution and reward them for it. Employees who have made a huge sale or accomplishment at work normally would like to be patted on the back for a job well done or be most likely rewarded for it.Managers may have an excuse as they’ve been busy with projects and meetings but employees will not simply forget it. Although employees will not likely initiate, but at some point that they’ve been waiting for it that long will have the urge to open it up.Until that urge results just to giving up, doing sloppy work and will make them feel not that valuable in the company anymore.

  4. Managers overwork their employees. Countless days of overtime does imply a certain thing. It is you get more work done but at the stake of burning out your best employees.Research shows that there is a decline in the productivity per hour if someone works beyond 50 hours a week. So, if you need to increase the work needed to be done by your best employees, there is also a need for a raise and promotion.Remember, they won’t take on a heavier workload if it will just suffocate them in return.

  5. Managers don’t care about their employees. Being human is way different from being professional alone. This is a very big aspect that managers should be able to differentiate. But, most managers fail to balance it.Showing empathy to employees who are going through a major loss of a family member or congratulating those who have major accomplishment are just some things that managers can do to show their care for their employees.

  6. Managers don’t keep their commitment. As managers honor their commitments with clients, it should not differ with the commitment they have with the employees. This is a very critical part and determines the trustworthiness of a manager. If he/she fails to do so, you may be tagged as uncaring and dishonest. As a result, the employees may turn to thinking that, “If my boss doesn’t fulfill his/her commitments, why should I?” In the long run, it’s still up to the manager if they would like to see more of his/her employees very happy or just watch them walk out of the door.
