  2. Nutrition • Our bodies need many types of food to stay healthy

  3. Nutrition • Foods are divided into different types: • Grains • Fruits and Vegetables • Dairy • Meats & Proteins • Fats, Oils and Sweets

  4. Nutrition • The different types of food make up the food pyramid

  5. Nutrition The food pyramid tells us how many servings of each food group we need to eat every day

  6. Nutrition Sweets taste great, but are not good for us in large amounts

  7. Nutrition How do I know what to eat to stay healthy?

  8. Nutrition • You need to eat more of the foods on the bottom of the food pyramid than on the top

  9. Nutrition 6-11 servings of grains every day

  10. Nutrition • 3-5 servings of vegetables

  11. Nutrition 2-4 servings of fruits every day

  12. Nutrition • 2-4 servings of meats and protein every day

  13. Nutrition 2 servings of dairy products every day

  14. Nutrition • But only a little bit of sweets every day

  15. Nutrition When I eat good foods, then I will be healthy
