  3. 1. At Home - A Student’s Schedule

  4. Dust our light bulbs or even better to change them to compact fluorescent lamps Commonly-known Methods • Recycle newspaper and used paper

  5. Use recycling bag or biodegradable plastic bags • Buy electric appliances with energy-saving efficiency label

  6. We can do more • Put a stone inside the toilet water tank • Keep the refrigerator’s door closed • Cook / eat less meat

  7. Use refillable stationeries (pens, mechanical pencils, correctiontapes) & pencils from recycled materials • Plant green leaf plants on the top of buildings • Sleep earlier

  8. 2. At School - Promotion • A questionnaire survey about eco-friendly habits of our students and their attitudes towards our suggestions Participants: 50 students from F.1-6in our school Frequency of taking inappropriate actions

  9. Frequency of considering what is done will cause climate change Opinions about the practicability of the actions suggested

  10. Opinions about the consideration of changing the habits Opinions about the willingness of following the suggestions Opinions about the willingness to advise others to follow the suggestions

  11. Major result: - most of them don’t want to change their habit to reduce global warming → We should make them feel the need of environment protection and changing their lifestyles. Environmental education

  12. Suggested environmental activities • Game booths • Making nutrient from litter such as fallen leaves • Making recycled paper

  13. Green orienteering competition • ‘Be a smart eco-tour guide’ programme • 5-minute light out activity

  14. 3. In Society –A Letter to Government • In some restaurants and subways, there are serious wastage of electricity and plastics. Awards and punishments

  15. Problem of new edition of textbooks - Publish a booklet includingamendments instead of re- printing the whole book Booklet

  16. Promotion of buying “Hybrid car” - Very environmentally-friendly - Low tax policy

  17. Environmental education is very important to deal with global warming. The promotion in schools should be enforced.

  18. Government Restrict Support Locals and Citizens Enterprises We should not be mean to show our concern for our environment!

  19. Development of economy and business should be balanced with the conservation of the environment.

  20. Dealing with global climate change needs everyone’s effort. This is not only the responsibility of any green groups or geography teachers, but all! You and Me!!
