  1. ACTION PLANMathematics, Grade 2 BY: Mrs. HINA AZIZ (Junior Teacher) D A IQRA MODEL SCHOOL Kh-e-Ghalib,12th Street, Phase-VIII, DHA Karachi.

  2. To empower, to explore, to encourage and to excel education by incorporating 21st century skills. LONG-TERM GOAL

  3. To enable the students to think deeply about the mathematical concept they learn. To collaborate with peers and teachers on mathematical concepts using higher order thinking. To use technology to create new ideas. SHORT-TERM GOALS

  4. BLOOM’S TAXONOMY • Applying • Understanding • Remembering • Creating • Evaluating • Analyzing

  5. BLOOM’S TAXONOMY • APPLYING:Students should be able to apply correct mathematical techniques in related problems. • UNDERSTANDING:Students should be able to understand the technique to solve the particular problems with the help of proper formula and methodology. • REMEMBERING:Students should be able to describe the formula, their application and usage in appropriate problems.

  6. BLOOM’S TAXONOMY • CREATING:Students will able to generate their own worksheet of similar problems. • EVALUATING:Students will evaluate by giving them different problems in the form of work sheet. • ANALYZING: They should know the correct mathematical technique to solve related problems.

  7. Provide more opportunities for students to answer the questions that require higher order thinking. Providing opportunities of group discussion to uplift their knowledge and confident. Providing assignment research work with the use of 21st century technology. Asking questions that require students to explain how they came to an answer. INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES AND TASKS

  8. INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES

  9. CHALLENGES Slow learners need more focus to come up. There may b some students who do not want to work together. Parents disagreement. Uncomfortable with group works. SOLUTION Appropriate grouping may help. I will randomly group students to encourage collaboration with all class members. Taking parents in confidence. Motivation. SOLUTION TO ANTICIPATED CHALLENGES

  10. TIME LINE I will work on creating collaborative groups and pairs. I will focus on encouragement rather than others. I will successfully adopt 21st century teaching approached in my class room. I will focus on questioning skills

  11. Master Trainer Mrs .Naheed Asif Senior teachers who teach mathematics. School library for books and other material. Working sheets, Charts papers & Multimedia. Internet RESOURCES

  12. In the last and finally, the children must develop proficiency using length measurement tools. By Implementing my newly a quire 21st century teaching approaches, students will be empowered and will appreciate and gain better knowledge of mathematics. CONCLUSION
