This teaching script introduces new computer users to the basic functions of a mouse. It explains what a mouse is, how to hold it properly, and the different clicking methods: left click, right click, and scrolling with the mouse wheel. The script describes the function of the mouse cursor, including its various forms such as the arrow and hand symbol. Users will learn how to navigate the screen, scroll through pages, and perform drag and drop actions. Access additional learning activities through Surrey Libraries’ website under their computer classes.
