  2. Objective: Each student will: • Graph points on a coordinate plane. • Name the quadrants of a coordinate plane. • Find and position pairs of integers and other rational numbers on a coordinate plane

  3. Coordinate plane- The plane containing the "x" axis and "y" axis. Cartesian Coordinates- Using Cartesian Coordinates you mark a point on a graph by how far along and how far up it is. Quadrants- The four sections of a coordinate grid that are separated by the axes. Key vocabulary

  8. QUESTIONS: What do you notice about the coordinates of all points in quadrant I? What do you notice about the coordinates of all points in quadrant II? What do you notice about the coordinates of all points in quadrant III? What do you notice about the coordinates of all points in quadrant IV?
