In Jodee Blanco’s Please Stop Laughing at Me, the main character is about to enter high school and she is afraid of what might happen to her there; honestly, this book is a little depressing to read because it seems like EVERYONE except the main character is so incredibly evil. One significant quote for me was when all the kids on the school bus chanted “Jodee’s a wuss, Jodee’s a wuss” (116); this just illustrates my point that ALL the kids in her world are villains; there are NO nice characters in this entire book so far!
