  1. Major INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FOR UNIVERSAL HEALTH COVERAGE (IT4UHC) Agreements 25 -27 September 2013 Manila, Philippines

  2. Executive Summary The IT4UHC conference aims to bring UHC to the attention of not only the health sector stakeholders but also, and more importantly, to the policy and decision makers. Majority of participants in the IT4UHC conference are in the early stages of developing their own national social health insurance (SHI) schemes.

  3. Challenges • Lack of political will, insufficient investments on infrastructure, manpower, data gathering and research • Inexperience in the field of eHealth • Inadequate knowledge on health financing mechanisms, • Compliance with health data standards, • Compatibility of systems across agencies

  4. Executive Summary At the end of the conference, participants and development partners drafted an overview of their plan of action and priorities for the next two quarters. The matrix in the next pgae illustrate summary of priorities of both development partners and countries for IT4UHC.
